Join us for our celebratory return to the Pantages Theater! Charlie Albright headlines our 75th Anniversary season opener playing Shostakovich’s uncharacteristically whimsical Piano Concerto No. 2. Tchaikovsky’s passionate Symphony No. 6 is the composer’s final symphony and is regarded as one of the defining works of the Romantic era. Hailed as “among the most gifted musicians of his generation” by The Washington Post, Charlie Albright has been praised for his “jaw-dropping technique and virtuosity meshed with a distinctive musicality” by The New York Times. A pianist, composer and improviser, he connects with audiences like no other, crossing genres…and making it fun.

Born in Centralia, WA, Mr. Albright began piano lessons at the age of 3. He earned an Associate of Science degree at Centralia College while still in high school and was the first classical pianist in the Harvard College/New England Conservatory 5-Year AB/MM Joint Program, completing a Bachelor’s Degree as an Economics major and Pre-Med student at Harvard, and a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance at NEC. He graduated with the prestigious Artist Diploma from The Juilliard School, and he is an official Steinway Artist.
