Hey Kids! You and your favorite adult are invited to a concert series just for you!

Mini Maestros is an informal concert series for children ages 2 to 8 that offers an interactive, close encounter with Symphony Tacoma musicians and their instruments. Educators introduce the instruments and explain musical concepts as musicians play a selection of songs to get kids singing, dancing, marching and clapping along.

Each concert highlights a different instrument family–strings, brass and percussion. The first three concerts include an instrument petting zoo beginning at 1:30 pm. Kids can touch and play the instruments with the help of musicians, providing them a true hands-on experience.

The series finale, Peter and the Wolf, brings all the elements of the previous concerts together with the entire orchestra performing under the baton of Symphony Tacoma Music Director Sarah Ioannides.

All concerts are held on Sundays at the University of Puget Sound’s Schneebeck Concert Hall. Concert time is 2:30 pm, with the instrument petting zoo beginning at 1:30 pm.
